Objectives
To prepare students for post-program success by providing a rich learning environment utilizing research-based methods of instruction and providing access to relevant and current resources and materials. Students will participate in a challenging and worthwhile certificate program based on current industry/academic expectations. The Technology Professional 2 Program will provide students with a roadmap to gainful employment by instruction in 1 course.
In the Technology Professional 2 Program at DSDT, students will have the opportunity to prepare for the CompTIA A+ certification, which is a widely recognized and highly respected credential in the field of IT. The CompTIA A+ certification is designed to certify the skills of IT professionals in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of computer hardware and software.
To obtain the certification, participants will need to pass two exams: 220-1001 and 220-1002. In this course, you will receive the necessary training and support to help prepare for these exams. Students will have access to online study materials, practice tests, and instructor-led lectures to help gain a thorough understanding of the concepts covered on the exams.
Obtaining a CompTIA A+ certification can be a valuable asset for anyone looking to advance their career in the field of IT. It demonstrates a commitment to the profession and a high level of expertise, which can lead to increased job opportunities and higher salaries. It also helps IT professionals stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in the field.
This is a certificate of completion program which includes instruction in One (1) Information Technology Course: CompTIA A+.
CompTIA A+ 220-1101 covers PC hardware and peripherals, mobile device hardware, networking and troubleshooting hardware and network connectivity issues. CompTIA A+ 220-1102 covers installing and configuring operating systems including:

The Technology Professional 2 Certification Program costs $5,000 in total. This breaks down to $62.50 per clock hour over 80 clock hours of instruction.

Attendance on a daily basis is a mandatory requirement for all students. Any class session or activity missed, regardless of
cause, reduces the opportunity for learning and may adversely affect a student’s achievement. Students are responsible to
instructors for class attendance and for any class work missed during an absence. Student is responsible to catch up on the
missing material on his/her own by contacting fellow classmates or instructor.
